cPanel is one of our control panel applications that is used for our self managed hosting accounts. This is what you see when you sign in to your hosting account to administrate your website, email or view stats. We currently are using version 10 which is standard across the web hosting industry.

As updates are released these are  installed on the server so we can properly monitor services to ensure that downtime or major issues do not occur. When a major upgrade is released, we review the updates and test to insure  it will not effect customers accounts.

cPanel 11 has now been released and we are upgrading to this version when before the end of 2007.  Here are some of the new features that cPanel will employ.

 - Improved Security. 
 - Speed. New tweaks to the cPanel software will speed up mail server speed times as well as faster overall load times. We have been able to speed up load times through introducing a faster skin, but cPanel 11 should be even faster.
 - Enhanced Usability. cPanel 11 will introduce a new set of enhanced features that will make it easier for clients to learn the ropes. Don’t be afraid that you’ll be left out if you are a more experienced user. cPanel 11 now adds a desktop feature where you can gain access to your cPanel account right from your desktop.

This is just a quick overview we wanted to share and it's something to look forward to in the future.
