Details Another week of development and the administration is coming further tested as features are completed. View how to add additional images to your product listings.

The last week the following changes/additionals have been completed:

  • Caching of Product  Images
    • Improved user browser caching to reduce bandwidth and improve speed of image delivery
    • Improve system caching of images. All images uploaded are converted to JPG
  • Additional image support for products
    • Upload GIF,PNG or JPG images for your products. These images are automaticly resized and converted to JPG
    • You can have thumb/small view and popup/large view for each image. Idea to show close up as the thumb with a large photo of the entire product as the popup
    • If you do not select a thumb image then the large/popup image will be resized to create a thumb. You can upload a seperate thumb at a later date
    • Each image can have it's own titke or alt tag.
    • You can change the order of the additional images to be displayed to the user
    • You can remove/delete images
    • When images are deleted, all the cached versions will also be deleted
  • Bandwidth Management
    • Each page load and image download is recorded by the system, this allows restiction of account that excced the allocated bandwidth
    • Future features include bandwidth graphics and stats
  • Disk Space Usage
    • Allocated diskspace per account is based on the images uploaded. Only the optimized version is counted. All the system generated thumbs, popup and resized images are not included. This means the total diskspace allocated to an account will support more images.
    • Under each additional image you will see the current space allocated for that image. To reduce space upload smaller photos.
  • Image Features
    • Future features to include for images are text/image watermarks
